wine pairing game
This game is a great way of figuring out how to pair wine with your next dinner/party/etc. This game involves giving you and your group the chance to get the wine’s name, location, description; and taste the wine. From there, you will have 3 minutes per wine to pair the wine with the images of food on the provided sheet. The winner is the group member to pair the most classic wine and food pairings in the overall time allotted. Great for large or small groups.
sensory game
This game is a great way to test your nose! This is all about utilizing your sense of smell to help identify the common notes within some of your favorite wines. You and your group will be unable to see the wine bottle or label, but you will be given a blind taste of the wine, then be presented with a plethora of covered jars filled with different scents (bell peppers, honey, peaches, etc). This game can be competitive or simply informative. If competitive, the winner is the person to get the most classic scent notes of each blind tasting.
Guessing game
The Guessing Game is similar to the Sensory Game, but it uses some of the classic descriptors that you either hear or see when discussing wine. You and your group will do a blind tasting and from there have a set amount of time to pick as many common descriptors as possible. This game can be competitive or informative. If competitive, the winner will have paired the most classic descriptors with the appropriate wine in the overall time allotted.
musical wines
This last game is a blind tasting play on a classic children’s game. Musical Wines involves you and your group being provided with several glasses. You will be given a sheet with the list of wines. As the music plays, the wine will be rotated and when the music stops, you must taste the wine in front of you and guess which one it is based on the list provided. The winner has guessed all the wines correctly! This is good for a big or small group.
